As a 501(c)3 non-profit, WINGS relies on volunteers, donations from corporations and foundations, in-kind contributions made by businesses, stock contributions, annuities, securities (given outright or pledged over time) and cash donations from individuals. Funding for our services from Medicaid has recently decreased 30%. Colorado is currently ranked 48th in the nation in per capita funding for people with developmental disabilities. Some people have been waiting for services for more than 10 years.

Matching Gifts from Companies: Find out if your employer offers a gift-matching program which DOUBLES your contribution. Call your Human Resource Dept. If your corporation matches donations and volunteer hours, they will give you a form to send to us. Please complete the form that HR gave you and mail it to us with your gift. We really appreciate your contributions.

Real Estate and Personal Property: We are searching for a piece of land for our WINGS Center within the city limits of Loveland. Please help. We hope to have a large garden, and lots of space to play basketball and other outdoor activities. It will be great for staff and visitors to have a place to park! Gifts of real estate may be donated. One may receive tax benefits for giving gifts of appreciable, tangible personal property.

We are grateful to the Daniels Fund for a $15,000 grant to support our general operations. The 2011 grant enables our program to maximize the independence of and increase the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities in Southern Larimer County.

The Daniels Fund operates the Daniels Fund Scholarship Program and the Daniels Fund Grants Program in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
